Finish or Frog What???

So obviously, my plan to finish a project each Friday in February fell completely off track after the mugging.  I know knitting is supposed to bring you comfort and see you through the tough times.  But to be honest, for the past week, knitting has pretty much been the farthest thing from my mind.

Until yesterday.  Yesterday I started thinking about sweaters.  Actually, one sweater.  One sweater who's yarn was ready and waiting to be cast on.  I knew I had no business starting a new project until I finished up more WIPs, but the thought of casting on still nagged at me.  I knew I could stay strong.  I knew I could resist. I knew I had plenty of other projects to keep me busy.

And then I cast on anyway.

It seems to me, in times of stress I become a sweater knitter.  A year ago, while heart-broken over losing Charlie, the "Comfort Sweater" saw me through.

And so, the healing begins and the sweater progresses.  I think it's going to be a fairly quick knit . . . and anyway, K.C. is more than willing to knit a few rows too!

Kitties really are the bestest helpers when it comes to knitting.

Having a kitty help is one of the funnest parts of knitting if you are blessed enough to have a kitty in your life. Warm thoughts and prayers to all of you!

it's always nice to know that when your spirit needs healing and the needles are going slow, there's a cat to take up the slack.

so glad pea is on the mend and you're feeling the ground under your feet. that's the first part of taking steps again.

i've nominated your site for the kreativ blogger award. it's a recognition of inspiring blogs. you can hop over to my blog for the details.

keeping you in my thoughts..

If casting on a new sweaters is calling, ignore the WIPs and do it, baby! That's going to be a great sweater. Appears to be K.C.-approved too.

If your motivation is highest for a new sweater right now, then go with it! Don't be like me and slog through projects where you've lost the love...it kills your love of knitting and also the healing pretty quickly.

Besides, K.C. seems very excited about your new sweater, and she's going to help you knit even faster!!!

P.S. Robin of Yarn Crawl knit one of these, and hers came out beautifully. I'm sure yours will too!
