Miles and miles and miles . . . .

Nope, I'm not talking about how far I've walked for Runagogo - although today I did pass my personal goal of 35 miles for January!! I'm not even talking about how much sock yarn is in my stash! What I'm talking about is how far it feels like I've knit this Bejeweled scarf!!!

I finished my second ball of yarn last night. I'm only slightly over 50% done. I'm thinking it's going to take much more yarn than the 270 called for in the pattern. I'm sure that's because *gasp* I don't swatch for scarves. No worries though, I love how it's coming along, and there are three more balls of yarn on stand-by waiting to be put to use.

I barely swatch for a sweater much less a scarf! Congrats on your walking goal.

That's a lot of mileage and you still have a week to go. Great job! Just don't pull a forest gump and forget to turn back every night :)

Hey, NOBODY swatches for scarves!

I'm starting to have the same 'will it ever end' feeling about my Irish Hiking Scarf...

Wow, this is going to be a long one - how long will it actually be when it's done? It's beautiful nonetheless, I love the pattern and the colour!

I know how you feel - I made mine a little shorter & I am working on the decrease for the end BUT it has been in my UFO basket for about 2 weeks.

gasp! i can't believe you don't swatch when doing a scarf! What's wrong with you woman! tee-hee... me neither.

anyway, glad to check in with you again.. you've been busy since I was gone. and wait, is that picovoli (very flattering indeed) the same color as a baby sweater I just made? I think so!

Yeah I don't swatch for scarves either - because really, isn't a scarf just one big long gauge swatch?

and good for you for meeting your goal!!!

why not just knit until you run out of yarn? seems like it would be long enough. or maybe you can't do that with this pattern?

Wow 35 miles! Fantastic. I need to update my ticker, but I'm no where near that. The ice storm here put the brakes on my walking and running. The scarf looks great. I was wondering how much yarn it REALLY took. Can't wait to see it completed!
