Imagine . . .

I can't believe it's been 25 years already. You know, it's one of those things like 9/11 and the Challenger, where I'll always remember where I was and what I was doing when I found out. I was 8 years old and watching TV and a ticker started flashing on the bottom of the screen, saying that John Lennon had been shot. I remember my mom tearing up and saying, "Oh no!" and I asked her who he was and why it was such big news. Of course, as I grew older, I became a Beatles fan and really grew to understand how sad and great a loss his death was. Such a talented and profoundly gifted man.

What a lovely tribute. I share a birthday with John Lennon (although he was 20 years older than I) and have always loved his music. Such a talent. Such a loss.

Thank you for posting that beautiful picture. I have a very similar memory to Chris's, and have also come to learn what an incredible loss we experienced. You reminded me that I have a copy of the Imagine film; I think this would be a good time to see it again.

Finally got myself back online; apologies it's taken me so long (I'm ashamed to admit just how long it's been!) Wanted to let you know that we have been singing "Imagine" with the choir I'm in and it's the closing song for the concert next weekend. I can't get through the song without crying. Must be the pregnancy hormones (Yea, that's it.) Anyhow, loved the past blogs, especially the pictorial tour of the Gone with the Wind collection and the psychoanlaylsis of me vs. bizarre me. House must be immaculate. Hat that you made for Sweetpea looks fabulous!

By the way, very smug since I glitched my bookmarks and lost this address; just googled you and cross referenced with the ballroom dancing and voila! Not bad for a computer novice.

Keep on knittin'.....and I promise to be a better blog reader!
