I want to knit

And I want to blog. I've been way too busy to do either, and that makes me very sad.

That doesn't seem to have stopped me from ordering stuff though!!! And that makes me very happy. Tomorrow I will post pictures of my haul. Green yarn to knit Hourglass. A self-striping sock yarn. A Lornas Laces sock yarn, just because I've read such wonderful things on other blogs about it. And a bunch of Addi needles . . . two are on back-order, but three arrived.

Yeah, Pea is going to freeze my credit card for sure.

Aside from finishing my first Sockling and knitting the other one, I want to finish Tie One On. I'm dying to start Hourglass. And I find myself really wanting to knit Fingerless Gloves, and Laura just posted a great pair I'd like to knit this weekend. And then I want to make a matching scarf.

Not to worry, I predict a lot of knitting time in my future. Sunday is going to be a do-over of last week, when I was going to knit all day (until the violent evil stomach flu hit me!!!) But for now, it's back to work.

well, i truly hope you do get a knitting day to yourself!
it's so hard to find time to knit. M-F, i'm out of the house from 6 am to 8:30 pm, so my knitting time is from when i get home to when i sleep or on the weekends. i hear ya on wanting to do so many things, but having so little time. it takes forever for me to finish anything...

I'm so glad you get to do-over Sunday. With all the stress from work and the evil stomach flu, you definitely deserve some time to yourself! I'm also happy that you were able to order such great stuff! I've seen such great Hourglasses; I'm sure yours will be beautiful in green. And I know what you mean about trying to find the time to knit and/or blog. It would be so nice to have a few extra hours in the day! But, all those "a couple of rows here" and "a few more there" eventually do add up to great FO's, like the many you already have. And then there's always Sleep-Knitting, which I think I do 6 out of 7 days a week. ;-)

Sleep-knitting?! sign me up for that!

Those fingerless mitts are so easy, you practically could do them in your sleep. And they are like little hugs for your hands. I can't say enough good things about that pattern! Ann Budd is a genius!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get your "knitting Sunday"! I am hoping for some knitting time this weekend myself - time will tell and since it is supposed to be so warm and wonderful, maybe a little outside knitting time would be in order :)
Good luck!
Cath
