What do you knit . . . .

when it's hot, humid and so sticky out? Well, if you are me, you work on a wool sweater, of course!

I know it makes no sense to be knitting wool in the kind of weather we've been having this week. And I'm actually craving some new projects to cast on. But since this sweater is SO CLOSE to being done, I'm forcing myself to hold off on anything new until it is finished. Just the ribbed cuff on the second sleeve and the neck-band, and this is off to the blocking board!

Maybe I can finish it today?? And then, stuck in a drawer for a couple of months, I guess. Oh well, at least I'll have a new sweater to console me when the summer is over.

Well look at it this way, you will be ahead of the game when fall comes around and most other people are hurrying to knit a sweater. Besides what little you have left to do will go fast, or you could tuck it away for when it does get cooler and then You could wear it as soon as it finishes drying and then you could cast on other things that you want to knit.

hmmmm maybe I am not much help with this am I? =)

You'll be happy when you have a brand new sweater to enjoy when it gets cooler. :-)

hold on baby, hold on! I mean hold off! It is so hard to finish when you are ready to start something else. You can do it. you can do it. AND it is beautiful. Will you call it consolation sweater as it consoles you? Maybe I should strart a consolation sweater.......hmmmmm

So pretty. You're a brave soul, though :) It takes guts to knit wool in July!

Good luck on finishing! You're just really really early with the fall knits! (That's what I'm telling myself with Caroline, the felted boiled wool jacket. Ack).

I'm doing the same thing with a wool/alpaca sweater! Crazy, aren't we?

I admire you! I have a sweater in Berroco Ultra Alpaca going that I just can't even look at in this weather.

Very pretty! Do you think you'll have to go to the store and stand in the walk-in cooler to try it on? ;-)

Go, Karen, go! Kevin likes to crank up the AC so I'm actually kinda glad to have a lap full of wool. ;o)
