Yummy Yarns Test
Go give it a try . . . it's fun! I only got one wrong out of ten . . . without using any of the hints. As it turns out, I know even more about yarn than I realized.
Which reminds me, two weeks ago my parents got back from a trip out to Colorado to visit my brother. My mom said she was hoping to find buffalo yarn to bring back for me. When she couldn't find any, she figured that meant yarn isn't made from buffalo. Little does she know, they make yarn from just about everything these days, including buffalo. Maybe I should send this quiz to her.
What's the most unusual yarn you've ever knit with?

Most unusual: gotta be Amaizing, the corn yarn from SWTC!!
I have knit with bamboo and soysilk, but really look forward to finding the perfect project for the 2 skeins of fingering weight buffalo my husband got me for Valentine's Day. It is soooo soft!
I started a pair of socks in Tofutsies, but I got distracted by some Socks that Rock.
Hm... never heard of Buffalo yarn, but it sure sounds awesome! I wasn't very adventurous with unusual yarns in the past, so the most unusual one was "only" bamboo yarn so far. But mind you, I'd love to try everything out and will probably do so sooner or later ;)
I've knitted with bamboo and seasilk. I've spun a little buffalo (very soft!) and I have some llama in the fiber stash that I'll be spinning soon.
I haven't played much with exotic fibers, most out of budget constraints. I have used both llama and alpaca before.
I don't do exotics since I seem to have an allergy to camelids which makes me fearful of any and all of the newer stuff that's coming out. I mean, I can probably knit with possum fur but...that kind of skeeves me out a bit. ;o)
Not too many people make buffalo yarn since you need to harvest it from dead buffalo skins - which is also why it is so freaking expensive!
Oooh thanks for the quiz link! That was fun!
Most exotic thing I've knit with is bamboo... which seemed kindof far out when I bought it but compared to buffalo or soy isn't really all that crazy!
Sadly my most unusual yarn is Tofusies. I really need to branch out more!

Hi Karen,
Back on track a bit with my blog. Check out my new pics. Your blog is AWESOME! So smart and talented you are.
Apparently I am not the yarn whore that I thought I was - I only got 2 right.
How about that? I got 9 out of 10 as well! I am considerig a bamboo purchase, thats about as exotic as it gets...
