Yarn P*rn Friday - Sweetpeas

It's barely gotten above freezing any day this week, and the head-cold I had segued into a stomach virus yesterday. So believe me when I say I'm SO VERY ready for Spring. For today's Yarn P*rn, I thought I'd turn to flowers. And what better flower than the one that shares my Pea's nickname - Sweetpeas! I have two beautiful skeins of yarn named Sweetpea, and both were send as gifts from some very special people.

This yarn is from Christine, who I usually refer to as my long lost twin. It's true, we are a lot alike and when we met in NYC we really felt as if we were spending time with a sister. Anyway, it is extra, extra special because she dyed this gorgeous sock yarn herself and gifted it to me. I'm such a lucky girl.

This second skein of Sweetpea is KnitPicks Gossamer yarn, sent to me by my Secret Pal 6 spoiler Peanut. It is extra, extra special because it came on my last day of work, which was much more draining than I had anticipated. A special package with yarn that has so much thought put into it really picked me up.

So there you have it, my two special Sweetpea yarns! Is it Spring yet?

Isnt it great to see how people take one thing and can get totally different colours from it? I have noticed it when I became a dyer.

That yarn might cure Seasonal Affective Disorder, it's so spring-like! They keep promising that it will be warmer next week, I really hope it happens.

How I wish it were spring. The colors of the yarns are so bright and cheerful, I am hoping the flowers arrive soon! Hope to see you on the 22nd either en route or at NYC.

OOOH, both yarns are lovely indeed. Your last day at work? Where are you going? What will you do? I know, you'll take your famous Statue of Liberty legs on a ballroom dancing tour with Pea! When will you visit the west coast? I wanna watch you.

I'm so sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well lately - do try to get some rest, my friend, and I hope you'll be much, much better soon!

Both of those are so springy! I was just thinking about NYC yesterday. I'm going to ask for a weekend away in April, if we win this trial!!!! Bob, too, of course..........(cross you fingers)

Oh, the Sweetpea just looks like spring, doesn't it? I managed to get a chest cold just as the weather here was breaking a little. Figures.
