Book Meme

Thank you all for the Get Well wishes you send after my last post. They worked really well yesterday, as I felt almost back to normal. But today, the cold seems to be winning again. As the day wears on, I'm feeling more stuffy and miserable, and sneezing more and more. So, in lieu of a real post, I'm going to take the easy way out and post a meme. I had a hard time with Time Traveler's Wife but pushed on and enjoyed it at the end. Same with The Secret Life of Bees!

Sorry you're still feeling crummy! why oh why are colds so difficult to get through?

Very interesting looking through your list of what you've read. Thank goodness I'm not the only one who hasn't read the Harry Potter books either!

Glad you're on the mend! If you're looking for a "strong women" read try "The Poisonwood Bible" it's excellent.

I have this on my blog as well. If there wqere some authors I might suggest giving a try it would be the Canadians: Michael Ondaatje, Timothy Findlay, Carol Shields, Margret Atwood (I saw her in a bookstore once, she comes across as such a strong woman and yet she is this tiny little bird). I am an especially big fan of Michael Ondaatje. The English Patient is an amazing book. Carol SHields is amazing as well, I love most of her books that I've read. "The Republic of Love" is my favourite.
