Shifting into neutral!!!

Sadly, we are on the last month of Project Spectrum. (Don't be too sad though, it looks like part II is in the works!!) August is Neutral Month . . . . which is right up my alley. Pea loves to tease me that our whole house is "tan, beige and light tan". It's almost true!! Just look at the living room, front hall, and kitchen.

In the living room, and the front halland the kitchen!!
I've also got some lovely neutral yarn in the stash, just calling out to be knit up. However, I've vowed not to cast on anything new until my two current projects are done. We'll see if I can hold out. (And yes, I am ignoring Sunrise Circle for now. I'll finish that up in September.)

For now, I'm off to sit in front of the love of my life air-conditioner and work on my never ending sock project Embossed Leaves.

But it's for project spectrum - surely you can cast on for one little project just so you're knitting something in the right colors...? ;o)

Don't forget the greys! Of course, they happen to be my favorite neutral.

I want to start a million other projects, too. But having anymore than 2-3 small ones going on at a time drives me insane!

I'm not sure what to do for project spectrum this month as I don't have much for neutrals in my stash.

I definately see shades of oatmeal, mushroom, birch bark and a variety of other wood and stone shades in your home pictures. Tell Pea that your home is well-coordinated, not simply beige. My Jaywalkers are in the same league as your embossed leaves. They really need to be finished, but other things keep popping up and pushing them to the back burner.

I also really love tan colors! Stay cool over there, and enjoy the air conditioning!

I personally love beige and tans. Very soothing. The air conditioner at our house has been getting lots of loving pats lately. We're thinking of giving it a name.

PS: I love khaki and brown, but I think someone told me that pink was the new neutral . . .
