Sadly, our little kitty house guests had to go home yesterday afternoon. They were the best guests we've ever had and we were so sad to see them go. (Okay, yes, I did cry a little after they left.) To help them remember the fun we had over the past two weeks, I sent them each off with a little gift.

Yarn: Bernat Super Value and Cascade 220
Needles: Clover US5 (3.75mm)
I stuffed them with fiber-fill and quite a bit of cat-nip.
I'd say they were a big hit. The crazy kitties chased them all around the house, until we finally had to pack them away so they could take them home.
After they were gone, I spent about two hours getting the house cleaned up and

I'm sure there are some great cats in your local shelter who would be super appreciative of a good home.
It looks like they loved their going away gifts! It's awesome to hear that you might be ready to give a new kitty a home, I know there are so many in need. I look forward to hearing more on that account at some point.
My cat has looooong hair. I have bare wood floors. We sometimes see things moving (blown about by the furnace, or somebody walking past), that resemble tumbleweeds blowing by....my kids now have a new name for them: " fur turds".
You sound like you are ready for a small fluffball!!!
Oh maybe that is why I dreamt my Fireman came home with two new rescues. He called one Michelle in my dream. They were so loving. Well One was so loving she snuggled into my neck. I often dream for others.....
you know I cannot wait. I'm so waiting as you search. Keep us posted. You dont have to bond with the first one you meet.
I love the cat toys. I have to remember them for my cat-loving friends. :)
Our shelter lets you "foster" cats, and especially looks for people to foster pregnant cats. Now I just need to talk my husband into it...
=) Ahh kitty fluff, Hubby wanted a dog because cats shed, Yep and our dog sheds enough that I could spin her fur!
Only you know when you are ready and i am sure you will find the perfect kitty
=)
Yay! Karen might be ready for a kitty! It looks like your houseguests loved their toys. We have one long hair and although she is an obsessive groomer, it's still everywhere.
Awwww, they are adorable! It may be time for some of your own! :)
Toys they actually play with -- priceless.
It's always amazing how much fur I vac -- yet no one's bald!
awww cute toys!!
Hey Karen,
I blogged today. Miracle. Are you going to try and do what Jennifer does on Major Knitter and blog everyday? How is the "frog or finish" thing going?
You need a kitty. Then you can knit cat jumpers, beds, tunnels, toys, even more stuff!
That, and the love is the best in the world :)
Your little guests are so cute!! And what a sweet idea to send them home with a new toy to remember you by! (Guess where they'll want to spend their next vacation?!).
Long-haired kitties look pretty, but to be honest, I wouldn't want to do all that brushing. If one wants to adopt you, though, I'd go with it. :)
Cute, the fishies. :-)
They are so cute!!! I bet there is a shelter kitty out there just waiting for you when you're ready. :)
