Remember that time . . . .

I was over at Jessalu's blog today and found what could possibly be my all time favorite meme!! So I had to join in, of course. Here's how it works:

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL MEMORY OF YOU AND ME. It can be anything you want--good or bad--BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

So come on, what's your favorite "memory" about the two of us??

I will never forget that time we went to that seedy jazz bar in Paris and drank absinthe and picked up French merchant marines.

Thanks for the good wishes. I actually don't feel sick, just really WEIRD. LOL!

Since you asked, I just had to bring up the time we went out with our friend Krista and we all got *ahem* tipsy and you picked up this guy that she wanted....has she talked to you since? I mean that was years ago, she should be over it by now! ;o)

You'll never believe what I saw on TV last night. Remember when we were roller skating on the Boardwalk and we were approached by the judges of "Skate Party USA"? You know, that cheesy show back in the 70's, where people did skate routines. It was so funny to see us in our hot pants and tube tops, skating for the glory. Who knew we would take the prize. So, what did you do with your $30.00?

Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away
Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night
Remember how the stars stole the night away
Aaahh Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day

True story.

dude, remember that time right after you came to see me graduate that we decided to take a road trip? how we saw a lone little lamb on the side of the road behind the fence and decided to sheep-nap it cuz it was just so darn cute that we just couldn't leave it there all by itself? and how the rancher who owned that property saw us, so we threw the lamb in the back seat of your little car and high-tailed it to canada after we led the cops on a high speed chase through eastern oregon and northern idaho? i can't believe we ditched your car 10 miles from the border; you loved that car! but i guess if we were to avoid the cops, our only choice was to split up and try to make it across on foot.
i still have the bit of roving you managed to shave off for me with the swiss army knife. it's too bad you had to leave the lamb in nova scotia, but i know you wouldn't deny a lamb of true love--especially after what we put it through! though i never thought it possible for a lamb to fall in love with a sheltie...
anyways, i'm glad you were able to make it to connecticut safely. thank god my college bf hadn't started work for the forestry service by the time i made it to his house in boise! if he hadn't loaned me the money, i don't think i would've been able to get back home. too bad things didn't work out between us, but i guess he just couldn't deal with the situation.

Remember that time we decided to go apple picking and you climbed up and hid in that tree? Remember how you would throw apples at people passing by, but since they couldn't see you, they were confused at why they were being pelted...oh, and that one guy you beaned on the back of the head so hard his glasses flew off?? That was funny!!

When we were in grade school we formed a club - with only the two of us in it! You see, we were the fastest runners in the whole school so the other girls hired us to chase down their favorite boy, capture him and sit on him long enough for the other girls to come up and kiss him. We got into big trouble with the teachers - but not before we made a few bucks! (Which we spent at the roller rink.) Neither of us wanted to kiss the boys we could catch - we both wanted to kiss the elusive Tim Ramsay who was the only boy we couldn't catch....he was always too fast for us. I think we could have worn him out though - if only recess was longer!
