Half-Way for January . . .

No, I know we're not exactly half-way through January yet.  Which is good, because the half-way I'm talking about is my pair of socks for Sock-A-Month!!  I finished the first one on Saturday morning.

I'm even hoping to crank out sock two by next weekend!  You see, giving in to the temptation of the Hemlock Ring blanket seems to be just what I needed to kick my knitting into high gear.  Not only have I been inspired to keep working on the blankie, but my little socks have been calling out to be finished as well.  So if these knit-cravings continue, I should have no problem finishing this pair up in no time.  I'll give you all of the yarn and pattern details then but if you just cant wait, go ahead and take a peek at my Ravelry notebook.

Want to knit a pair of socks each month with us?  Come on over to Sock-A-Month 9 and join to fun!! You'll find all of the sign-up instructions right in the side-bar.

Guess who tossed out the babushka idea and started socks? I am so fickle lately. Oh well.

HI KC. Someday we'll do a babushka.

You are such a fast knitter! I'm working on 8ply (DK) socks at the moment and I'm halfway through one after a week!

Ooops, Andrea and Cpurl, I probably should have mentioned that I cast on this sock in November. I am SO NOT a fast knitter. Even with a sock done in worsted weight. ;)

I knit socks two at a time. That's the only way I trust myself to finish a pair.

Oh Your MOJO IS SO BACK! I am delighted for you and ALL OF US!

I have possible big kitten news to share. My Al is putting an application into the shelter for an absolutely adorable kitten. Her first pet of her own on her own. Will fill you in on more if it happens!

It looks great! I'm sure you'll finish the 2nd one by the end of the month. I don't trust myself though to finish one a month, so I definitely won't be joining the KAL. Sample knitting for others gets in the way of me having knitting goals for myself. ;-)
