I just love baseball . . .

Okay, that statement is not exactly true.  The only sport I actually like to watch is figure skating.  But when you combine baseball with knitting?  Well yes, then I am a big fan!

This year was the second Stitch N Pitch held at our local minor league field.  Last year was a blast despite the rain, and with sunny skies this year was even better.  We arrived early, and I had my Retro Rib sock at the ready.

It didn't take long before our section was filled knitters and their friends and family.

Pete enjoyed the fresh air . . .

And the baseball.

I finished the leg and heel flap AND turned the heel!

In the end, our team lost the game. But with goodie bags like this, we were all winners!

Want to see what's inside? Well, it's going to take me a while to get that post finished, but stay tuned next week!

I'm guessing it was at the Bridgeport Bluefish?! Bummer, I would have gone to that...maybe next year.

They had Stitch N' Pitch at Dodger Stadium last year, but Joe is such a diehard baseball fan he wouldn't let me go! "Knitting is not allowed at ballgames!!"

So glad you were not knitting in the rain!! Can't wait to see what is in your bag! I'm sure K.C. has already investigated it, right?

Let's see what's in that goody bag! We have a wonderful new minor league park in Fort Wayne, which we intended to get to this year, but didn't. There was even a Stitch 'n Pitch event that I found out about after it happened.

You're right: baseball and knitting are a perfect combo.

How did I miss this post? I LOVE baseball. Even when my team loses, which is ALWAYS. Fireman and i went to a Brewers game in Milwaukee to see Miller park on friday
So strange for it to be raining cats and dogs, and you go inside to a game!

How cool! Let me know next time they do that. I would love to go and get a goody bag filled with knitting yummies. Isn't there a fiber show soon? You went last year??? I would like to go this year. A fun weekend thing to do.

I'm impressed with how much you got done on your sock! Stitch 'n Pitch sure sounds like fun, though I'm sure combining knitting with pretty much anything would make it that much more palatable. Can't wait to see the goodie bag spoils!
